Poland unveils consequences of EU’s new migration pact
Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from the Polish Law and Justice Party Jadwiga Wisniewska has criticised the EU’s Pact on Migration and Asylum, saying it legalises criminal activity and results in danger on the continent.
“This [the adoption of the migration pact] contributes to illegal migration, that is, the legalisation of illegal activity. Imposing a take-or-pay principle on member states is very dangerous. The principle of forced solidarity contradicts the essence of solidarity. We are dealing with a completely unprecedented situation,” she said, according to Do Rzeczy.
Wisniewska noted that the adopted migration pact is a “bad decision”; it will not eliminate the problems associated with illegal border crossings in Europe.
“The migration pact and the principle of forced relocation included in it will legalise illegal migration to the EU, criminal activity, which is dangerous,” the MEP added.
