Polish firms target Uzbek workers to fill labour gaps
Employers in Poland are looking to recruit nearly 3,600 workers from Uzbekistan, with demand spanning logistics, services, industry, and construction sectors.
The issue was discussed in Warsaw during a presentation event organised by Uzbekistan’s diplomatic mission, according to the Dunyo news agency. More than 20 major Polish recruitment firms and employers participated, including Grupa Progres, Gremi Personal, and Personnel International.
During the meeting, companies outlined concrete staffing needs: approximately 2,000 workers for logistics, 800 for the service sector, 600 for industrial roles, and 200 for construction.
Polish participants described Uzbekistan as a promising and reliable partner, signalling their readiness to expand hiring of Uzbek specialists and deepen cooperation in labour mobility.
Discussions also focused on simplifying visa procedures, a step that could significantly increase the flow of workers.
At the conclusion of the talks, both sides agreed to hold further business-to-business meetings involving Uzbekistan’s Migration Agency and accredited employment organisations. The aim is to establish more transparent and secure mechanisms for the employment of Uzbek citizens abroad.
