Polish MEP files complaint over lecture held at Russian cultural centre

05 December 2025 19:05

Polish politician from the Civic Coalition party, Member of the European Parliament, Krzysztof Brejza has filed a complaint with the National Prosecutor's Office and the Internal Security Agency concerning a lecture held at the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Warsaw.

Brejza noted that comments made during the event by speaker Yevgeny Tkachev portrayed Poland as a “Nazi state,” suggested the country “needs an army of Russophobes,” and asserted that “Russia is the guarantor of Poland’s borders,” Caliber.Az reports.

He argued that the remarks were pro-Kremlin and anti-Polish in tone and said they may violate several articles of the Polish Criminal Code.

Brejza stated that if the centre is functioning as a platform for Kremlin propaganda, security services should promptly investigate its activities. He also called for those responsible to be removed from operating in Warsaw.
