Polish FM responds to Russian official's sharp remark: “I don’t know you, crook”
A public dispute has erupted between senior Polish and Russian officials on social media following comments on Europe’s approach to diplomacy with Russia amid the war in Ukraine.
Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski clashed with Kirill Dmitriev, the Russian president’s special representative for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, after reacting to remarks by EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, Caliber.Az observed the exchnage on X.
On April 30, Sikorski responded on X to Kallas’s comments on Ukraine diplomacy. Kallas had said that Russia is unwilling to engage in meaningful dialogue and added that “we should not humiliate ourselves by saying, ‘please, we beg you to talk to us.’”
In response, Sikorski wrote on X, “ I wish some men had her balls.”
The comment prompted a reply from Dmitriev, who wrote: “I wish some men and women, including Radek and Kaja, had some brains not just ‘balls.'”

Sikorski then responded briefly, escalating the exchange further: “I don’t know you, crook,” he wrote, addressing Dmitriev.
