Protests erupt in Kashmir following deadly attack on Shia mosque Photo
Hundreds of people in India-administarted Kashmir took to the streets on February 6 to protest a deadly terrorist attack on a Shia mosque in Islamabad, Pakistan, that killed at least 31 people and injured hundreds.
The demonstrations were reported in multiple locations, including Chainabal Pattan in Baramulla, Imambara Zadibal and Harwan in Srinagar, and Inderkote–Sumbal in Bandipora. Protesters raised anti-Pakistan slogans and condemned the attack on worshippers during the prayers, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
The explosion occurred at the Khadija Tul Kubra mosque in Islamabad, striking during a period of high attendance for religious services. Protesters in Kashmir denounced the killing of civilians, expressed solidarity with the victims, and called for an end to sectarian violence in the region.
