Pyongyang accuses Seoul of violating its airspace
North Korean authorities have claimed that South Korea launched a drone and violated the country’s airspace.
Seoul has rejected the accusations, Caliber.Az reports via the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
“They must provide a detailed explanation regarding the drone that intruded across the southern border of our republic. We are not interested in whether it is military or civilian, whether the parts used are cheap or expensive, or whether it is the work of the army or civilians,” said Kim Yo Jong, a representative of the General Staff of the Korean People’s Army.
The incident occurred on January 10. On the same day, South Korea’s Ministry of National Defense denied any involvement and stated that the drone was civilian. Pyongyang warned that South Korea could face “numerous aerial objects launched by civilian organizations from the territory of North Korea.”
