Qatar accuses Iran of ongoing strikes on civilian sites

Iran continues to carry out attacks on infrastructure in Qatar, according to a statement made Tuesday, March 10, by the Gulf state’s foreign ministry.

Speaking to journalists, Majed al-Ansari, spokesperson for the Qatari Foreign Ministry, said the attacks were targeting civilian infrastructure.

“Attacks on civilian infrastructure continue… and we reject any justifications the Iranians provide as an explanation for these attacks,” al-Ansari said, without specifying which civilian sites in Qatar had been struck.

The remarks came about a week after Iranian drone strikes forced the suspension of gas production in Qatar.
