The ministry stated that targeting Oman—after what it described as the sultanate’s tireless efforts to de-escalate tensions and promote dialogue in the region—amounted to an unacceptable encroachment on the role of mediators and on initiatives aimed at resolving regional disputes.
It characterised the attack as a treacherous act and an abuse of the principles of good neighbourliness, warning that it represented a dangerous escalation that could undermine both regional and international efforts to strengthen security and stability.
Qatar reaffirmed its full solidarity with Oman and expressed support for all measures taken by Muscat to safeguard its sovereignty, security and stability.
