Qatar says new US-Iran agreement could be possible

Qatar sees the possibility of a new agreement between the United States and Iran that could bring the current conflict to a complete end, Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari has said.

He noted that Qatar has now set itself the task of once again achieving a ceasefire, stopping the ongoing escalation and bringing the parties back to the negotiating table, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

According to him, Doha also expects Muscat and Tehran to reach an agreement on the Strait of Hormuz, which would allow US-Iran talks to resume.

Ansari added that the roadmap outlined in the memorandum is currently not being implemented.
