Qatar сondemns Iranian attack on buildings in Bahrain housing its naval personnel
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar condemned an Iranian attack on buildings in Bahrain that house members of the Qatari Emiri Naval Forces deployed within the Gulf’s joint maritime security framework.
In a statement shared on X, the ministry said the strike targeted facilities hosting Qatari naval personnel participating in the Unified Maritime Operations Center under the Gulf Cooperation Council Unified Military Command. Qatar described the attack as a hostile act and a violation of Bahrain’s sovereignty that threatens regional security, Caliber.Az reports.

Doha expressed full solidarity with Bahrain and warned that targeting facilities linked to joint Gulf military cooperation represents a dangerous escalation.
The ministry added that all Qatari naval personnel present at the targeted sites were safe and unharmed. It said the Qatari embassy in Bahrain had coordinated with local authorities to monitor their situation and ensure their safety.
Qatar also called for de-escalation and urged all parties to adhere to international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter in order to preserve stability in the region.
