Qatar-US phone talks focus on regional stability and de-escalation
The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, held a phone call with US President Donald Trump to discuss the situation in the Middle East and broader international efforts to maintain stability, according to QNA.
During the conversation, the two leaders reviewed recent regional developments and ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions. This included support for initiatives related to Pakistan, with the goal of preventing further escalation and preserving international peace and security.
They also stressed the importance of maintaining dialogue to address current challenges, highlighting the need to ensure the security of maritime routes and strategic waterways. In addition, both sides underlined the importance of safeguarding the stability of global supply chains and energy markets.
The Emir reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to resolving crises through diplomatic means alone and to supporting initiatives designed to strengthen both regional and international stability.
