Qatari PM hails Türkiye's efforts in Mideast peace, urges next steps on Israel-Hamas ceasefire
Prime Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani has stressed the need to continue implementing the next stages of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip.
Al Thani stated this call during a press conference following his meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on February 2 in Doha, Caliber.Az reports citing Qatari media.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them, as well as discussing the latest developments in the Gaza Strip.
Matters relating to the current political climate in Syria, in addition to several other issues of common interest, were also on the agenda.
The Qatari head of the government, who is simultaneously leading the Foreign Ministry, stressed the need to continue implementing the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, expressing his appreciation for the close Qatari-Turkish partnership to promote peace and stability in the region.
