Qatari prime minister arrives in Kyiv on unannounced visit

Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani has arrived on an unannounced visit to Ukraine.

According to Reuters, he is expected to meet and hold talks with the country's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv.

"Al Thani arrived today, July 28, on a visit to Ukraine, during which he will convey the greetings of the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and discuss a number of important issues with him," the Qatari foreign ministry said.

In addition to meeting with the Ukrainian president, the Qatari prime minister also plans to meet with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

The visit of the Qatari prime minister to Ukraine was not announced in advance.
