Romania to host NATO Black Sea drills
Romania will be hosting a multinational exercise called "Sea Shield 24" from April 8 to 21 in the Black Sea and the Danube Delta.
The Romanian Defence Ministry announced this on its official website, highlighting the importance of such exercises in enhancing cooperation and preparedness among allied and partner countries.
This exercise is organized by the Romanian Navy and will include 12 allied and partner countries, such as Bulgaria, France, Georgia, Greece, Italy, the UK, Moldova, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Türkiye, and the US.
More than 2,200 soldiers and 135 technical means will participate in the exercise, which will focus on sea and river control, land and sea searches, assisting a ship in distress, and ensuring the security of critical infrastructure.
