Dutch Air Force joins airdrop aid missions over Gaza
A Royal Netherlands Air Force transport aircraft has departed from Eindhoven Air Base en route to Jordan, where it will join a multinational humanitarian operation delivering aid to civilians in the Gaza Strip.
The aircraft—a C-130 Hercules—is expected to drop approximately one tonne of humanitarian supplies over Gaza each day for the next two weeks, Caliber.Az reports via Dutch media.
The aid packages, prepared by a Jordanian charity, include flour, rice, baby formula, and essential medical supplies.
Each airdrop will consist of 16 aid bundles, released over the enclave in coordination with international partners.
The Dutch aircraft took off from the Netherlands at 09:00 local time.
Alongside the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Spain, France, and Germany are also participating in the airdrop effort, which aims to ease the humanitarian crisis amid the ongoing conflict.

The aid drops are planned to continue for approximately two weeks, providing vital relief to thousands of residents struggling with shortages of food and other essentials.
The Netherlands has joined international efforts to support Gaza’s population, highlighting the urgent need for humanitarian assistance amid escalating tensions.
Military officials emphasise that the airdrops will be carried out with strict coordination to ensure the safety of both the aid teams and recipients on the ground.
