Romanian Deputy State Secretary for Religious Affairs Dincer Geafer has commended Azerbaijan’s peaceful ethnic, and religious relations as he met with Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the country’s State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations.
The meeting focused on the regulation of ethno-cultural diversity and the promotion of interfaith dialogue, Caliber.Az reports citing the State Committee.
Geafer highlighted Romania’s approach to managing national and religious minorities, and commended Azerbaijan for its success in maintaining peace and harmony among its diverse ethnic, religious, and racial communities.
He particularly praised Azerbaijan for the absence of confrontations or conflicts based on ethnic, religious, or racial differences, describing it as a significant achievement.
Mammadov shared Azerbaijan's experience in managing ethnic and religious diversity, emphasizing the peaceful coexistence of different faiths and peoples as a testament to the country's successful model of state-religious relations. He also underscored Azerbaijan’s commitment to promoting global dialogue between cultures and religions.
Concluding the meeting, the sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the religious sphere between the two countries, aiming to further strengthen bilateral relations and mutual understanding.
