Rubio: US policy on arms supplies to Ukraine unchanged

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said Washington's policy on supplying weapons to Ukraine remains unchanged.

Speaking at a press conference on the sidelines of ASEAN ministerial meetings in Manila, he stated that the United States continues to cooperate with its allies under the PURL initiative, which allows European countries to purchase US-made weapons for Kyiv, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.

"There’s been no change to our policy in that regard. We want a peace deal. We want the war to end," Rubio noted.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said he had told Rubio that further "pumping Ukraine with weapons" was unacceptable.
