Russia extends flight ban on Iran and Israel routes until March 27
Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency has extended its flight restrictions for domestic airlines involving Iran and Israel, prolonging existing safety measures until late March.
According to an official statement published on the agency’s Telegram channel, the current NOTAM remains in force, prohibiting Russian carriers from operating flights to Iran and Israel, as well as from transiting their airspace, until 23:59 Moscow time on March 27, 2026.
In addition to the restrictions, the agency has issued updated operational guidance for flights to Gulf destinations. Airlines have been advised to reroute through the airspace of third countries, while strictly adhering to safety protocols and closely monitoring updates from relevant aviation authorities.
The regulator emphasised that the extension of these measures is driven by the need to ensure the safety of civil aviation operations amid ongoing regional tensions.
