Russia floods Ukrainian skies overnight with missile, massive drone wave PHOTO
Russia launched a ballistic Iskander-M missile and 293 attack drones of various types in an overnight strike on Ukraine on June 4, the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced.
The drones included Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, Banderol loitering munitions, as well as Parody-type decoy drones.
Air defences involved aviation, surface-to-air missile units, electronic warfare systems, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defence Forces.
As of 08:00 local time, preliminary data indicate that 264 drones were shot down or suppressed in the north, south, and east of the country.
A ballistic missile strike and 24 attack drones were recorded hitting 11 locations, while debris from downed drones fell across 12 additional sites, according to the report.
