A railway worker was injured in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region following a Russian strike on railway infrastructure, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Oleksii Kuleba announced on Telegram.
According to Kuleba, the warning system had alerted about the threat in advance. However, the train driver sustained injuries from debris while heading to a shelter.
“He is currently receiving necessary medical assistance, and there is no threat to his life,” Kuleba noted.
He added that the drone strikes damaged locomotives and rolling stock, but train services in the region are being quickly restored. Railway staff continue operations to maintain connections with Dnipro and other regions of Ukraine.
