Russia intensifies air campaign with 187-drone attack across Ukraine PHOTO

On the night of February 27, Russia launched a large-scale drone assault against Ukraine, deploying 187 strike unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types.

Approximately 120 of the drones were identified as Shahed models, the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.

According to preliminary morning data, Ukrainian air defence systems shot down or electronically suppressed 165 UAVs across the northern, southern and eastern regions of the country.

Authorities recorded strikes by 20 attack drones at 14 separate locations.
