Russia launches 116 attack drones at Ukraine overnight PHOTO

On the night of January 2, Russia launched 116 attack drones of various types, including Shahed and Gerbera, targeting Ukraine from directions including Millerovo, Kursk, Shatalovo, Oryol, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and temporarily occupied Crimea. About 70 of the drones were Shahed models.

According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the air assault was countered by aviation, surface-to-air missile units, electronic warfare forces, mobile defence teams, and unmanned systems, Caliber.Az reports. 

Preliminary data indicate that 86 drones were shot down or neutralised, while 27 strike drones hit 23 targets, and the destroyed drones fell in two locations.
