Russia launches 171 drones in overnight attack on Ukraine
Russia launched a large-scale overnight drone attack against Ukraine on April 29, deploying 171 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types, according to the Ukrainian military.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine said the attack involved strike drones such as Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas models, with approximately 120 identified as Shahed drones.

As of 08:00 local time, Ukrainian air defences had shot down or otherwise neutralised 154 of the incoming drones across northern, southern, and eastern regions of the country, according to preliminary data.
Despite the high interception rate, authorities confirmed that 12 strike drones hit targets at 10 separate locations. In addition, debris from intercepted drones fell across 12 locations.
