On the night of December 2 to 3, Russia launched an attack on Ukraine using 111 drones, most of which were intercepted by the Ukrainian Air Force’s air defence systems.
“On the night of December 3 (from 6 p.m. on December 2), the enemy attacked with 111 Shahed and Gerber strike UAVs and other types of drones from the following directions: Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russian Federation, Chauda – Crimea, more than 60 of them were Shahed drones,” Caliiber.Az cites the Ukrainian Air Force’s Telegram post as saying.
The post added: “As of 08:00, air defence forces shot down/suppressed 83 enemy Shahed and Gerbera UAVs and other types of drones in the north, south, and east of the country.”
The Air Force said 27 strike drones were recorded hitting 13 locations, along with debris from downed drones falling in one location.
“Civilian infrastructure and private households in the Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Odesa regions were the most affected. Unfortunately, there are casualties among the civilian population,” the post adds.
