Russia launches over 100 drones in massive overnight attack on Ukraine
In the early hours of November 12, Russian forces carried out another large-scale drone assault targeting multiple regions across Ukraine.
The Ukrainian military stated that Russia launched a total of 121 attack drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, and other models. The drones were deployed from several directions — Millerovo, Oryol, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as Chauda and Hvardiiske in the occupied territory of Crimea. Around 70 of them were Shahed drones, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.
By 9:00 a.m., preliminary data indicated that Ukrainian air defence systems had shot down or neutralized 90 drones over the northern, eastern, southern, and central parts of the country.
Despite the extensive defensive efforts, 31 drones successfully struck targets in 19 different locations, while debris from downed drones caused damage in one additional area.
