Russia puts 963 US citizens on travel ban list Including Biden and his son
The Russian Foreign Ministry has published a national stop list of 963 US citizens who are permanently banned from entering Russia as a retaliatory measure.
"In the context of retaliatory measures to permanently imposed anti-Russian sanctions by the United States and in connection with incoming inquiries about the personal composition of our national stop-list, the Russian Foreign Ministry is publishing a list of American citizens who are permanently banned from entering the Russian Federation," a statement posted on the ministry's website said Saturday, TASS reports.
The document includes a link to a name list of 963 people.
U.S. President Joe Biden and his son Hunter are also on the list.
"We emphasize that the hostile actions taken by Washington, which boomerang on the United States itself, will continue to receive a proper response," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
The Foreign Ministry also reported that the Russian counter-sanctions are aimed at forcing the U.S. authorities to change their behavior, recognizing the new geopolitical realities. The ministry added that Russia is not seeking confrontation and is open to an honest dialogue, separating the American people from the U.S. authorities, who foment Russophobia.
