Russian forces shot down over 90 Ukrainian drones overnight
Russian air defence forces shot down 40 Ukrainian drones overnight across various Russian regions, and a total of 91 Ukrainian drones since the evening of April 28.
Some 40 drones were downed over the Kursk region, 12 over Oryol, 11 over Ryazan, and eight over the Nizhny Novgorod region, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Russian Ministry of Defence.
An additional seven drones were destroyed over the Black Sea, six over Crimea, three over the Belgorod region, two over the Moscow region, and one each over the Kaluga and Bryansk regions.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the weekend that Moscow's troops had ejected Ukrainian forces from the Kursk region more than eight months after Kyiv staged a mass cross-border incursion.
The ministry does not report damage inflicted by drone attacks and it only reports the number of drones destroyed not how many were launched.
