Russia shoots down 23 Ukrainian drones in two hours
Between 07:00 and 09:00 Moscow time, Russian air defence units shot down 23 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over Novgorod Oblast.
The Russian Ministry of Defence said on Telegram that all targets were successfully destroyed by air defence systems, Caliber.Az reports.
In a previous Telegram statement, the Ministry said its air defenсes intercepted and destroyed 89 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched by Ukraine on the night of December 28 to 29. The ministry said 49 drones were shot down over the Bryansk region, 18 over the Novgorod region, 11 over the Republic of Adygea, and seven over the Krasnodar region. Additional UAVs were intercepted over the Oryol, Rostov, and Smolensk regions, while one was destroyed over the waters of the Sea of Azov.
