Russia strikes key dam in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region VIDEO
Russian forces have dropped six guided bombs near the Pechenizhskaya Dam in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region.
The regional military administration said the strike targeted the area of the dam, located in the Chuguevsky district, but did not cause damage to the structure itself, Caliber.Az reports.
The Pechenizhskaya Reservoir is one of the largest in the region and plays a crucial role in supplying water to the city of Kharkiv and surrounding areas. Officials noted that the attack took place during the spring flood season, when water levels are at their peak, raising concerns about the potential risk of downstream flooding and environmental damage.
However, authorities stated that the dam remains intact and that water discharge is continuing in a normal, controlled manner.
