Russia to achieve what it wants, EU high representative warns
EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas has warned that they should show support for Ukraine, otherwise Russia will simply achieve what it wants.
Speaking to journalists ahead of the European Arctic Summit in Finland, she said the Russian strike near the Polish border was a “message to the Western world,” Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
According to Kallas, the European Union must not give in to provocations and should continue supporting Ukraine.
“I think the question for us is, what would we take from that message. I think we should act the opposite. We should show that we are there for Ukraine and we are not scared of, because otherwise, you know, Russia will just achieve what they want, <…> submission of Ukraine. And, like I said several times, this is not their end goal; their end goal is much more, so we have to stand firm on this,” Kallas emphasised.
