Russia, Ukraine prepare prisoner exchange ahead Easter

A prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine is scheduled to take place on April 11, according to Russia's media outlet RBC source.

Earlier, Russia’s Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova said both sides were preparing the exchange ahead of Easter. She did not provide details, but noted that “a great deal of work is being done.”

The planned swap would mark another in a series of prisoner exchanges between Moscow and Kyiv during the ongoing war.

The last exchange between the two sides took place on February 5 under a “157 for 157” formula. In addition to the swap, three residents of the Kursk region were returned to Russia.

Previous exchanges were mediated by the United Arab Emirates and the United States.
