Russian air defences intercept over 240 Ukrainian drones
Russian air defence forces have intercepted and destroyed four guided aerial bombs and 247 aircraft-type drones launched by Ukrainian forces, according to the daily briefing from the Russian Ministry of Defence.
Overnight, 64 Ukrainian drones were said to have been shot down over Russian territory, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
The ministry stated that these unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted above the regions of Tambov, Voronezh, Belgorod, Saratov, Lipetsk, Tula and Samara, with an additional drone downed over Tatarstan.
The highest number of interceptions occurred over the Rostov and Ryazan regions, with 17 and 25 drones destroyed, respectively.
Earlier, the ministry reported that three Ukrainian drones had been downed over the Black Sea between 18:00 and 20:00 Moscow time.
The Russian defence ministry also claimed that its forces carried out strikes against Ukrainian positions in 152 areas.
