Russian air defences shoot down over 70 Ukrainian drones overnight

Russian air defence forces destroyed 73 Ukrainian drones during the night, the country's Ministry of Defence announced.

The ministry stated that the drone attacks were recorded between 8:00 p.m. on April 7 and 7:00 a.m. on April 8 Moscow time. The largest number of drones were intercepted over the Rostov and Oryol regions, Crimea, and the Krasnodar region, with some targets neutralised over the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.

According to the ministry, the Ukrainian forces attempted to strike Russian territory using aircraft-type drones.
