Russian assaults kill two, injure five in Zaporizhzhia

At least two people have died, and five others were injured after a series of Russian attacks struck Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region, local authorities said.

Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported that Russian forces carried out 517 strikes across 32 settlements in the area over the past 24 hours.

The attacks included 24 airstrikes, 346 drone strikes—mainly using FPV drones—five rocket attacks, and 142 artillery strikes.

Authorities also received 85 reports of damage to homes, vehicles, and infrastructure, according to Fedorov.

The strikes mark a significant escalation in attacks on the region, which has been frequently targeted since the full-scale invasion began.
