The number of casualties following a Russian attack on Kyiv, Ukraine, on June 2 continues to rise, with at least four people killed and 58 injured, according to ASTRA.

Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported widespread damage across multiple districts of the capital, including residential buildings, businesses, educational facilities, and vehicles.

The Podilskyi district saw a nine-storey apartment building suffer a partial collapse of its upper floors. Authorities said people may still be trapped beneath the rubble. At least five people were reported injured, while rescue operations remain ongoing. Fires also broke out in vehicles parked in open areas, a four-storey building on the grounds of an educational institution, and a warehouse building and vehicles located at a municipal enterprise.

Meanwhile, in the Obolon district, a temporary construction site structure caught fire. The Shevchenkivskyi district also sustained damage, with a nine-storey residential building suffering partial destruction to its façade and roof.

Elsewhere, in the Darnytskyi district, a fire broke out at a filling station.

Emergency crews in the Solomianskyi district responded to a blaze in an apartment on the 16th floor of a 20-storey residential building. A private house also caught fire, while another fire erupted on the ninth floor of a 24-storey apartment block. Rescuers successfully evacuated one man from the building.

The Holosiivskyi district was among the hardest hit, as a commercial site caught fire and the second and third floors of a building were destroyed. Elsewhere in the district, several vehicles, office premises, kiosks, and commercial buildings caught fire. One business centre was also heavily damaged and partially destroyed.

Minor damage was reported in the Sviatoshynskyi district, where emergency services recorded damage to the façade and windows of a five-storey residential building.
