Russian Defence Ministry receives batch of Su-34 bombers
The Novosibirsk Aviation Plant named after V.P. Chkalov (part of the Rostec state corporation) handed over the second batch of Su-34 bombers to the Russian Ministry of Defence in 2023.
“Our aircraft manufacturers are successfully fulfilling the most important task of providing the Russian Ministry of Defense with new highly efficient aviation systems,” said First Deputy General Director of the corporation Vladimir Artyakov, answering that obligations to supply the Su-34 within the framework of the state defence order are being fulfilled in full and on time, Gazeta.Ru reports citing the Rostec website.
General Director of the United Aircraft Corporation Yuri Slyusar emphasized that UAC is successfully delivering aircraft under the current year program and is already working to ensure deliveries next year.
Su-34 bombers form an important part of the strike power of Russian front-line aviation, as they have a wide range of combat capabilities, the state corporation added.
