Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has extended a formal invitation to President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and his delegation to attend the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum scheduled for October 22-23, 2025.
The invitation was extended when the sides met at the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3) in Awaza, Turkmenistan, Caliber.Az reports via Georgian media.
The meeting between the two leaders highlighted the positive momentum in political and economic relations between Georgia and Uzbekistan, with a particular emphasis on expanding cooperation across various sectors. The discussion also underscored Georgia’s strategic role in regional connectivity.
The "Tbilisi Silk Road Forum" will be held for the fifth time this autumn. The goal of the forum is to create and establish a discussion platform where representatives of Silk Road Initiative countries, international organisations, and the private sector can explore prospects for deepening cooperation in the areas of international and regional trade.
