Armenian government responds to media reports of Pashinyan’s US visit
Reports about an upcoming visit by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to the United States began circulating in the press and on social media on August 4.
The Prime Minister’s office has addressed the speculation, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
“At this moment we can neither confirm nor deny the information generated in the press and social media about Prime Minister Pashinyan’s upcoming visit to the United States,” the Prime Minister’s Office said.
According to the statement, an official press release is issued in the event of such visits, and the information can be considered confirmed only in case of such a statement being released.
“As you know, as of this moment we haven’t released any official statement and therefore please consider the information as confirmed only after an official press release is issued,” the office said.
No further details about the alleged visit have been provided.
