Russian drone assault on Kyiv injures two, causes fires, property damage
At least two people were injured following a massive drone attack by Russian forces on the Ukrainian capital Kyiv during the night of June 9 to 10.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko and the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko, announced that the injuries occurred in the capital’s Darnytskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.
“Debris fell in open areas in the Podilskyi and Darnytskyi districts. Medical aid was provided on-site to one injured person in the Darnytskyi district,” Klitschko said.
According to him, preliminary data indicates that debris in the Darnytskyi district fell on a private house. In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a balcony of a residential building caught fire. A fire also broke out in a residential area in the Obolonskyi district.
Additionally, damage was reported in a business centre in the Holosiivskyi district.
