Russian drone enters Moldova again during attack on Ukraine

A Russian drone violated Moldova’s airspace on the evening of August 10 during another Russian aerial attack on Ukraine’s Odesa region before returning to Ukrainian airspace, Moldova’s Defence Ministry has stated.

It said the Army Air Operations Service and radars detected an object at 11:41 p.m. local time moving from the direction of Ukraine’s Stepanivka, Caliber.Az reports, citing Moldovan media.

The drone entered Moldovan airspace and flew over the village of Priozerne in the Slobozia district.

One minute later, the aircraft left Moldovan airspace and returned to Ukraine north of Stepanivka.

The drone was identified by its characteristics as resembling a Geran-3, a jet-powered version of the Shahed drone.

Ukraine’s Air Force also reported a jet-powered drone in the Odesa region near the Moldovan border.
