Russian drone strike hits railway infrastructure in Ukraine’s Sumy region Photo

Russian forces struck railway infrastructure in Ukraine’s northeastern Sumy region, causing a fire at a railway station in the Konotop district, Ukrainian emergency officials said.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the damage was caused by a UAV attack that hit the station, setting an electric train on fire. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to the scene and managed to extinguish the blaze, Caliber.Az reports. 

No casualties were immediately reported, and authorities did not provide further details on the extent of the damage or disruptions to rail traffic.
