Russian drone strike hits Ukrainian railway station, dozens injured VIDEO
Russian forces struck the railway station in Shostka, Sumy region, with a drone, leaving dozens injured, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on his official Telegram channel.
"A brutal Russian drone strike hit the railway station in Shostka. All necessary services are already on the scene and have begun assisting people. Information about the casualties is being clarified. Dozens of people are known to be injured. Preliminary reports indicate that both Ukrzaliznytsia employees and passengers were at the site of the strike," Zelenskyy stated, Caliber.Az reports per Ukrainian media.
He stressed that Russian forces could not have been unaware they were targeting civilians.
"This is terror the world has no right to ignore," the president said, adding: "Every day, Russia takes lives. And only strength can force them to stop. We have heard strong statements from Europe and America, and it is long past time to put them into action. Words are no longer enough. Strong steps are needed."
Earlier in the day, Russian strikes hit energy infrastructure in the Sumy region, leaving the city of Shostka without power.
