A Russian drone attack struck a residential building in the Ukrainian port city of Odesa, causing damage to civilian infrastructure and triggering fires, regional authorities said.
The head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, confirmed that Russian forces carried out a large-scale attack on the Odesa region using strike drones. He said preliminary information indicated damage to residential areas in the city, with several fires breaking out as a result of the strikes, Caliber.Az reports.

According to initial information, there are fatalities, though authorities are still clarifying the number of victims and assessing the full extent of the damage.
Emergency services were deployed to the affected areas as rescue and recovery operations continued.
