Russian Duma speaker points to mental disorder in Zelenskyy

Comments about youth and having time on one’s side reflect the psychological issues, fears, and desire for personal power of those who make them, said State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin, commenting on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s remarks about Russian President Vladimir Putin’s age.

Volodin noted that similar statements about personal advantages were previously made by former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, whose subsequent fate, he said, is well known, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.

“These discussions about youth and having time indicate the mental disorders of their authors, their phobias, and the thirst to maintain personal power. … All those trembling and convincing others of their star future will be removed from their positions—some this year, some next year. Only [Vladimir] Putin will remain at the head of Russia,” Volodin stressed.

Earlier, the State Duma chairman also stated that some European leaders are beginning to realize their detachment from key political processes.
