Russian emergency ministry colonel, his wife killed in Ukrainian drone strike Photo

Colonel Ivan Buzin of Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations and his wife have been killed in a drone attack carried out by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF), according to official statement by the ministry.

Authorities said that Buzin, an officer of the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, was killed along with his spouse as a result of the strike. It was noted that he had served in the ministry for many years and had been "engaged in efforts to protect the population and territories from emergencies."

Officials described his service as long-standing and emphasised his role in fulfilling duties related to civil protection and emergency response.
