Russian envoy: British intelligence altered Trump speech
Kirill Dmitriev, Special Envoy of the Russian President for investment and economic cooperation, has accused British intelligence of manipulating coverage of U.S. President Donald Trump’s speech on the BBC.
In a post on X, Dmitriev said that BBC journalists were allegedly handpicked by British intelligence and that Trump’s remarks were doctored, Caliber.Az reports.

His comments came in response to a report by the Irish News, which claimed that MI5 maintained an office within BBC headquarters in London to vet journalists—a matter discussed before a tribunal examining surveillance and editorial practices.
The allegations follow earlier claims that BBC journalists distorted Trump’s comments about the Capitol events. British authorities have not officially confirmed the reports.
