Russian FM stresses need for balance of interests in dialogue with Western Europe
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said that Russia's dialogue with Western European countries may take place when they are ready to conduct it there with a balance of interests, but so far there are no prerequisites for this.
Lavrov made the remarks in an interview with the Bosnian TV channel ATV.
According to the minister, the dialogue can only be successful if the countries of Western Europe "realize the complete futility of their colonial policy of subjugating everyone and everything, of interfering in the affairs of other regions, be it the South Caucasus or Central Asia."
"When they are ready to base cooperation not on the balance of power but on the balance of legitimate interests, then a promising conversation can take place," Lavrov stressed. - So far, we have not seen any preconditions for this".
