Russian forces hit Ukrainian positions with 86 strike drones overnight PHOTO
On the night of December 22, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions with 86 strike drones, including Shahed-type attack UAVs and Gerbera models.
The drones came from the directions of Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, temporarily occupied areas of the Donetsk region, and Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea, over 50 of which were Shaheds, Caliber.Az reports via the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The attacks were countered by air defence, aviation, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups.
Preliminary data indicate that by morning, Ukrainian air defence had shot down or neutralised 58 Russian drones across the north, south, and east of the country. Hits were recorded on 26 strike drones at 12 locations, and at one site, wreckage from downed drones was observed.
