Russian gas giant Gazprom agrees with Turkish football club for stadium sponsorship

The Russian state-owned gas giant Gazprom will become the new title sponsor of the stadium of the Turkish football club Besiktas.

According to the newspaper Sözcü, the contract will be valid for five years and the Turkish club will receive €60 million for a three-year sponsorship. After that, the parties will resume negotiations to discuss the terms of the agreement for the remaining two years.

The vice-president of Besiktas, Serhan Cetinsay, will visit Russia next week at the invitation of Gazprom chairman Alexei Miller.
