Russian airstrike batters Ukraine's Sumy, leaving 11 hurt PHOTO
Russian forces carried out an airstrike on the city of Sumy in Ukraine's Sumy region using aerial bombs, leaving at least 11 people injured and two others rescued, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (SES) announced.
“Several impacts were recorded. The most significant destruction occurred at an infrastructure facility. On the upper floors of the damaged building, rescuers found two people. The most serious situation involved a woman trapped beneath large concrete slabs.
Despite all the difficulties and the threat of repeated strikes, SES specialists used heavy equipment to free the victim and transport her to an ambulance. Rescuers also helped another man escape from the damaged building,” the Ukrainian emergency service said.
